Speaker: Drubpön Kunsang
Topic: Verse 4 – Freeing oneself from attachment to this life
In addition to our ongoing seminars, we offer Dharmadhara participants an accompanying study group. The basis is the text The 37 Practices of Bodhisattvas by Gyalse Thogme Zangpo (1295-1369), an important scholar of Tibetan Buddhism. This text provides precise instructions for the path of a bodhisattva and shows how we can develop compassion, wisdom and patience and overcome mental afflictions such as anger, pride and attachment. Each session includes recitation together, a lecture by a teacher or advanced student, and time for exchange and discussion among the participants.
Schedule
6:00–6:30 pm: Joint recitation of the refuge and the basic text
18:30–19:00 Input lecture by speaker
19:00–19:25 Discussion among all participants
19:25–19:30 Bodhicitta dedication
