What do we need to do if we want to become free from suffering or even attain Buddhahood? The eightfold path as the fourth noble truth shows the points that are all necessary but also sufficient for this. They can be summarised in the three trainings that are repeatedly mentioned in the teachings: Wisdom, Ethics, Samadhi.
In this seminar we will get to know the noble eightfold path in more detail and also see how certain exercises unite different aspects of the path.
This seminar is part 2 of the seminar series on ‘Basic of Buddhism’, but can also be attended as a stand-alone seminar.
Christian Licht completed studies in electrical engineering and environmental sciences. In 1992, he came into closer contact with Buddhist teachings and practices and received initiations and teachings from Buddhist masters. He lived as a Buddhist monk for six years and has been a long-time employee of the Buddhist Center in Aachen. He edits publications of scriptures, meditation texts, and CDs, and leads courses.
