Chöd means “cutting off”. What is cut off is the grasping for the self, which prevents us from recognizing the original nature of our mind. By overcoming our egoistic, habitual thinking and behavior, the pure nature of the mind can come to light. During the practice, we will learn to play damaru and bell.
