As part of his visit to Germany this year, Khenpo Choskyab will give teachings on the five aggregates (skrt.: Skandha) at the Dharmakirti Center in Heuchelheim. The five aggregates are the basis of all composite phenomena of samsara and nirvana. The precious human life also depends on these five aggregates. These are:
- Form – the colors and shapes we see, the sense organs, and the sense objects
- Feeling – of suffering, joy, and neutral
- Discrimination – to perceive an object as good, bad or neutral
- Forming factors – to create karma through mental factors
- Consciousness – the five sense consciousnesses and the mental consciousness
