Seminar Series
The history of Tibet is inseparably connected with the establishment and promotion of Buddhism. In this exciting seminar series, we will examine the historical development of Tibetan Buddhism more closely over the course of ten evenings (Thursdays 12.02.2026–16.04.2026). Our speakers, all Tibetologists and distinguished experts in the field of Tibetan Buddhism, will take you on a fascinating journey, starting from the introduction of Buddhism during the time of the great Tibetan kingdom (7th–9th centuries) and the famous debate of Samyé, through the formation of the different schools to contemporary developments.
