Khenpo Zangpo and Lama Dorje, two monks from the Drikung Kagyu Monastery Rinchen Palri in Nepal, lead a week-long Vajrayogini Drubchöd from 10 to 18 July 2026. The retreat includes intensive meditation practice, explanations on the meaning of the practice within the fivefold path of Mahāmudrā, and a concluding Tsog offering. The rare Sindura Mandala Vajrayogini text by Kunga Rinpoche is practiced, which was transmitted through the Mahasiddha Kyunga Rinpoche to Lamala and H.H. Chetsang Rinpoche. This text is rarely practiced anymore, which is why it was especially important to Lamala to pass it on to Western students. The empowerment (Wang) will be transmitted beforehand online via Rinchen Palri Monastery. Vajrayogini embodies primordial wisdom, perfect compassion and mindfulness, and is referred to as the Mother of all Buddhas. The aim of the practice is to dissolve ignorance and obscurations and to recognize all appearances as impermanent and illusory. The Drubchöd also serves as preparation for a future Sindura Mandala Retreat, which in turn is a prerequisite for the Six Yogas of Naropa. Participants must hold a Vajrayogini empowerment and have taken refuge in the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. Those who need the meditation text should order it in good time through the center in Aachen.
