The great Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara (Tib. Chenresig) is considered the embodiment of the compassion of all Buddhas and is a meditation deity (Tib. Yidam) through whom we can experience, develop, and extend our love and compassion to all beings in the six realms of Samsara. This practice is not only suitable for beginners but also serves as an important foundation for all advanced Vajrayana methods, from the basic Vajrayana practices (Tib. Ngöndro) with the Bodhicitta practice to the great methods of the highest tantra classes.
In the morning, the start will be a Metta meditation, followed by the visualization and mantra recitation of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara with brief instructions on the stages of practice.
Accompanying the morning and afternoon sessions, the Pujas that are daily recited in the Drikung monasteries will take place.
