Speaker: Rita Wangmo
Topic:
In addition to our ongoing seminars, we offer Dharmadhara participants an accompanying study group. The basis is the text The 37 Practices of Bodhisattvas by Gyalse Thogme Zangpo (1295-1369), an important scholar of Tibetan Buddhism. This text provides precise instructions for the path of a bodhisattva and shows how we can develop compassion, wisdom, and patience and overcome mental afflictions such as anger, pride, and attachment. Each session includes recitation together, a lecture by a teacher or advanced student, and time for exchange and discussion among the participants.
Schedule
6:00–6:30 pm: Joint recitation of the refuge and the basic text
18:30–19:00 Input lecture by speaker
19:00–19:25 Discussion among all participants
