As part of the Dharmadhara study and practice program, we cordially invite you to our new online lecture series “History of Buddhism”. The lectures and subsequent discussions provide a well-founded overview of the historical development, differentiation and spread of the most important Buddhist schools in India, including their central teachings and practices.
We begin with the life of the historical Buddha and the conditions of his time. It continues with the basic teachings of early Buddhism and the development of the Buddhist community. We then look at the emergence of Mahayana Buddhism, its most important writings and philosophical movements. The series ends with a presentation of Tantric Buddhism and Mahamudra.
Take this opportunity to immerse yourself in the fascinating history and teachings of Buddhism. We look forward to your participation.
