This seminar is about the model of the “Three Turnings of the Dharma Wheel”, which is used to grasp the Buddhist teachings in their entirety in a coherent system. In particular, it addresses the question of what we can learn from the system of three turnings of the Dharma wheel for our dealing with the diversity of Buddhist teachings. Is there a unifying principle? How do you deal with the Buddha’s seemingly contradictory statements?
