Study and Practice Program

WELCOME TO DHARMADHARA

The Dharmadhara study and practice program was developed by the German Drikung translators at the request of His Holiness, Drikung Kyabgön Thinle Lhundup, and launched in January 2024. Our goal is to convey essential topics of Buddhism, especially of the Tibetan practice lineage, to interested people. In the spirit of the name “Dharmadhara,” which means “holder of the teaching,” we want to enable participants to practice the Buddha’s teachings independently and to support the spread of Dharma in the West in different roles.

You have the option to fulfill the program requirements in a flexible way and through an individual choice of courses. A credit point system is used for this. In addition to individual events and weekend seminars, which you can mostly attend online, retreats of varying lengths offer you the opportunity to deepen newly acquired knowledge and consolidate learned practices. You can complete the program in about five years, depending on your individual time constraints. All Dharmadhara events can also be booked individually.

We are still working on making the Dharmadhara program fully available in English. For now, you can filter our program for courses offered in English. You can also subscribe to our newsletter to stay informed about the project’s progress. Thank you for your patience!
