Finally, the time has come: The Dharmadhara program started in January 2024. In 2026, we dedicated and are still dedicating ourselves primarily to the text which is considered the son of the Drikung Dharmas: The Essence of the Mahayana Teachings. And very soon, namely in January 2027, a two-year intensive course on the father of the Drikung Kagyu Dharmas will begin: The Single Intention by Kyobpa Jigten Sumgön.
The Single Intention
Two-year Online Course | Start: January 2027
Advanced Level 2 of the Dharmadhara Study and Practice Program
Who was Kyobpa Jigten Sumgön?
Jigten Sumgön was a great Kagyu master of the 12th and 13th centuries who significantly shaped the Drikung Kagyu tradition through his yogic activity, his way of life, and his profound understanding of the Buddhadharma. His thinking is clear, pragmatic, comprehensive, and carried by extraordinary compassion.
The Single Intention (Gongchig) is the principal work of the Kagyu tradition. It presents the profound intention underlying all 84,000 discourses of the Buddha just as clearly as it does comprehensively. As a compass on the path of Sutra and Tantra, its study protects practitioners from the dangers of wrong views and precisely points out the direction of wholesome practice. Whether for yogis in retreat or upasakas in everyday life: The joint study of this work is a true treasure trove of spiritual jewels and a reliable touchstone for one’s own practice.
The basis of the course is the teachings of Khenchen Nyima Gyaltsen in the form of carefully translated video recordings; weekly support is provided by an experienced team of tutors. Drubpön Kunsang provides monthly inspirations for practice and is available for all the questions you bring with you.

Class time: Mondays, 6:30 PM–8:00 PM (excluding public holidays and summer break)
